Patterns of Devotion
for
Members of The Order of

The Mission of Our Lady of Fatima

For those good people who decide to become a part of the order of The Mission of Our Lady of Fatima, and so devote their lives to the Word of God, there are some things that will seem familiar to a practicing Christian, and some things that will not be familiar at all - depending on which faith you have been brought up in.

The Mission of Our Lady of Fatima uses imagery and vocabulary that is drawn heavily from the Universal Catholic church. The Christian body of Christ here on Earth. The underlying philosophy is pure Christianity. Drawn from the the words of Jesus Christ, the words of God passed down through writers of the scrolls of ancient times, and from the words of Mary, the Mother of Jesus Christ, the Lords Handmaiden. While we await the coming of the Lord, the Blessed Mother has been preparing the way with repeated visits to us, with warnings and pleadings of how earthly behavior should be modified in accordance with Gods wishes. There have been at least sixteen such visitations, or apparitions that have been recorded and accepted as verified in the history of the Christian church. There have been many personal visits by Mary as she has come to help individuals in desperate need of her assistance. These visits go largely unrecorded.

This is the Crucial Factor in the Patterns of Devotion for the Mission of Our Lady of Fatima. Prayers in PDF Adobe Acrobat format here.

Devotion:

  • Devotion is made up a number of daily prayers.
  • In the Morning upon rising:
  1. The Lord's Prayer:
Our father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
  2. The Hail Mary:
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen
  3. Glory Be To The Father:
Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
  4. The Morning Prayer:
I adore you, my God, and I love you with all my heart. I thank you for having created me, made me a Christian, and kept me this night. I offer you my actions of this day; grant that they all may be according to your holy will and for your greater glory. Keep me from sin and all evil. May your grace be always with me and with all my dear ones. Amen.
  5. Pray the Rosary.
  • At Midday.:
  1. The Apostles' Creed:
I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord.
He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit, and born of the Virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried.
    He descended to the dead.
On the third day he rose again.
He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
       the holy catholic Church,
       the communion of saints,
       the forgiveness of sins,
       the resurrection of the body,
       and the life everlasting. Amen
  2. Pray the Rosary.
